Transforming Your Ride: How Suddz Takes Your Car to the Next Level

Your car is more than just a mode of transportation; it's a reflection of your personality and style. If you're looking to give your vehicle a rejuvenating makeover, consider the comprehensive process of engine bay cleaning, clay bar treatment, 2-step paint correction, waxing, ceramic coating, and headlight restoration. In this guide, we'll take you through each step to help you achieve that showroom-worthy finish.

Engine Bay Cleaning

Before diving into the aesthetics, it's essential to start with the heart of your car – the engine bay. Here's how we do it:

First, we cover sensitive components. Most engine bays are built to get water almost anywhere without negative side effects, but we make sure to cover the battery, open plugs and wires, and anything else that it may not be good to spray down.

Next, we lightly pressure wash the engine bay, making sure to apply as little pressure possible, using the widest spray nozzle.

Finally, we apply degreaser and clean with a microfiber towel.

Engine bay cleaning is important to maintaining a safe engine area, and making it look good. If you are looking to sell your vehicle, you will definitely want the engine bay cleaned, as it makes potential buyers trust in the previous care of the vehicle more.

Clay Bar Treatment

Clay bar treatment is a crucial step in removing contaminants from the paint surface. Often these contaminants are invisible to the naked eye, but can cause serious issues if you want to polish, wax, or apply ceramic coating to your vehicle:

First, we waste the vehicle thoroughly to get all large dirt particles and grime off the vehicle. Then, we lubricate the clay bar, and begin using it on the vehicle. Often, we use clay mitts which are just as effective.

We gently glide the clay bar (or mitt) across the vehicle in smooth straight motions to pull out contaminants.

After a section is done, we use a microfiber towel to soak up any lubricant, and wipe away the contaminants.

2-Step Paint Correction

Correcting paint imperfections enhances the overall appearance of your car and can remove surface level swirls and scratches, we have broken down the process into bullet points below:

1. Compounding (First Step):- We use a random orbital polisher to maximize the polishing ability of the hard cut pads we use. The compound is thick, and acts as a form of liquid sandpaper to smooth the paint. The random orbital polisher minimizes the possibility of overheating, and provides a well balanced corrective polish to the clear coat.

2. Polishing (Second Step):- Next, we use the same polisher, with a slightly softer pad, to apply the polish. The polish is less thick than the compound, and is mostly used to refine the paint and enhance gloss.

Waxing

Waxing provides a protective layer and adds depth to the paint, giving it a warm, wet look common to new vehicles:

We either use an applicator pad, or an extremely soft polishing pad to apply the wax. Wax should be allowed to sit on the vehicle for atleast ten minutes, allowing it to "cure", before buffing it with a microfiber towel.

Finally, we apply a sealant to the wax that helps that wax resist UV rays and makes it last longer for extended protection.

Ceramic Coating

Ceramic coating offers long-lasting protection and hydrophobic properties (makes it easier to clean), and is the highlest level of protection you can put on your vehicle with Suddz. The protection will last for years, if it is well taken care of. Similar to the 2-Step Paint Correction, the process is bulleted below:

a. Prepare the Surface:- Ensure the paint is clean and free of contaminants. This often means performing a clay bar treatment, and 2 step paint correction to the vehicle to ensure the coating looks and performs its best.

b. Apply Ceramic Coating:- The ceramic coating is applied evenly and smoothly to the entire vehicle using the applicator pad provided with the ceramic coating. Any areas that do not settle properly, or have to much product, are buffed and reapplied.

c. Cure the Coating:- Allow the coating to cure for up to 48 hours, not putting it in snow or rain to settle properly. Leaving the vehicle in the garage for 48 hours is the surest way to make sure that the coating has had the time it needs to fully protect your vehicle.

Headlight Restoration

Headlights can often get foggy and ineffective over time. Suddz can revitalize your headlights to once again be effective.

First, we clean the headlights thoroughly either with car wash cleaner, or isopropyl alcohol. Second, we sand the top layer off of the headlights, as its constant erosion is one of the major reasons the lights to get foggy.

After removing the top layer, we use a headlight restoration cream (very similar to a polishing compound) to smooth out the surface of the headlight. If needed, we can also buff in a polish layer to give it a new car shine.

We buff away the excess, and voila. Good as new!

By following this step-by-step guide, you can revitalize your car from the inside out with Suddz Mobile Detailing. From a clean engine bay to a brilliantly restored paint finish and clear headlights, your vehicle will turn heads wherever you go. Embrace the process, enjoy the transformation, and drive with pride in your newly rejuvenated ride.
